Vintage Botanicals 2 from Tattered Lace dies

It's time for a sneak peek at some samples I created for tomorrows release from Tattered Lace dies.

The collection is called Vintage botanical 2, and is a follow on to the hugely successful vintage botanical collection which was released previously.

The die's are designed to cut an image which is then folded in and then out to give dimension. The die cuts and embosses score lines where you need to fold, see the image above.

Here's my samples

In this card I have used 4 of the Petunia charisma images behind a die cut hexagon to create a floral display.

In this card I used some simple matting and layering with the Petunia as it's intended to be used.

I was really enjoying the sunshine when I created this card so decided to use some bright oranges to go with the daisies.

In this card I used the die cut slightly differently, instead of folding the outer parts in I have cut them to create 3 separate pieces that are staggered to give the impression of depth.

This was another simple card using the die cut Petunias.

Here I have created a gate fold card by adhering the daisy die cut to just one of the flaps

Just like I did with the daisies further up I cut into the die cut and staggered them.

My final card is a relatively simple one where I have used a fancy fold card and some matting and layering.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #72

It's time for another challenge over at the Paperbabe Stamps blog and this time around it's a  fan favourite "anything goes" challenge.

I have created a simple card using the Cute nativity stamps and a sentiment from the Whimsical woodland stamps.

I stamped my images and added a simple water colour back ground and a piece of washi tape to embellish.  I've been wanting to use the nativity stamps outside of Christmas for a while now and was just waiting for the right time.

Wanderlust Expressions 1 & 2, Typografia Wanderlust + Icons Blog Hop

Today I am sharing 3 projects made with the newly released Wanderlust series of stamps from STAMPlorations.  The series is made up of icons and Typografia sentiments and is a perfect fit for the Focus on the sentiments challenge we currently have running.

I have used the Typografia sentiments and the icons together to create 3 different projects.

My first project is a tag, I used water colour pens to create a wash of colour on my tag, which I then stamped the travel inspired icon images onto.  I love the strak black against the dreamy pinks and blues.  I chose to cut the sentiment up and use it spaced out over the entire tag causing the eye to travel taking in all of the artwork.

For my second project I used a Kraft card based and brown ink to stamp the compass and pin points. I then stamped the sentiment onto vellum and heat embossed in white.  I added a few white ink splatters for further interest.

Lastly I have a distressed card, the sentiment reads "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", I wanted my card to look like it had travelled a thousand miles to distressed it by tearing the edges and adding creases to it.

The sentiments and imagery in this series are so versatile and can be used in cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor and so much more.

Paperbabe Stamps challenge #71

Today sees the start of a new fortnightly challenge over at the Paperbabe stamp blog.

This time around it's a sketch challenge. You can use the sketch any way you like, flip it, rotate it or jumble it up. The idea is to be inspired and to create something you want to.

I played with the sketch a little to create this card, I hope it give you some more inspiration

I used the Butterfly Pieridae Stamp Set and some teal shades, two of my favourite things.
